Flying in today's modern world

Woohoo!!! Go Aaron Brother's thank you for giving us the gift of modern flight. Now we can go from coast to coast in just a few hours where it use to take days, weeks and even months. It's not doubt that air travel has because a staple of our society. From business to vacation to whatever everyone flies. . . . why? Because it's easier and quicker.

Throughout the last few months I've done a fair amount of traveling. . . In 3 months I've logged about 10,000 miles in the air. . probably more than that. After today's events I've learned that flying is nothing more than hurrying up to wait.

You hurry up and get to the airport so you can wait in line to check in. You hurry up in line so you can wait in security. You hurry up in security so you can get to your gate to board. You hurry up and board so you can wait on the plane to take off. You want the plane to hurry up so you can land. You hurry up and land so you can wait another 15 mins to get off the plane because everyone is grabbing their carry-on luggage from the overhead compartments. You hurry up and get off the plane so you can wait for the baggage belt to start. You hurry up and get your baggage so you can wait for your ride, the cab, shuttle, etc.

It's all just a waiting game with very little actual producitivity involved!
